Starting his career in banking with United Bank Ltd in 1961, he helped expand the bank's international presence until 1975. His experience and insights in finance and international trading laid a strong foundation for the AGE Group, which he founded in 1974 to meet the demand for structural steel in the GCC. Under his leadership, AGE Group developed a loyal and skilled workforce and built lasting relationships with employees, suppliers, end-users, and financial institutions. Despite his tragic passing on March 11, 2002, Ghayoor Siddiqui's legacy continues to influence the company’s operations and culture. The organization strives to honor his vision of professionalism and team spirit, ensuring that his methodologies and values remain integral to our identity. Mr. Siddiqui is missed by everyone in the company and will always be appreciated for his efforts in making AGE Group a successful enterprise. We do our best to follow in his footsteps and live up to his vision of promoting a high level of professionalism and team spirit, for the benefit of the whole organization.
The now Late Ahmed Aamir served as the Sales and Import Manager at AGE Intrade, having joined the company in 1980. Known for his dedication and hard work, he played a pivotal role in managing sales and import clearance processes. His loyalty and inspiring personality left a lasting impression on his colleagues and the company as a whole.
The passing of Mr. Aamir in 2002 was a significant loss for AGE Intrade, and he is remembered fondly by everyone at the organization. His contributions and the professionalism he exemplified continue to be valued, and he is greatly missed by all of us.
M. J. Jacob’s journey in AGE Group began in AGE Intrade in 1980, close to the inception of the company. This is where he started as an accountant, eventually growing and evolving with the company, where he adapted to become one of our most potent salesmen to date. Jacob then took up a key role as our sales manager, eventually leading the purchasing and sales at both AGE Intrade and AGE Steel. His work in the organization was pivotal to maintaining standards in challenging periods as well as fostering growth in flourishing economic landscapes. He retired at the post of General Manager after 40 years of exemplary service to the organization.
We are extremely grateful for the time, effort, and years of dedication demonstrated by Jacob in his tenure at AGE Group and hope that his example serves as one for all our staff to strive to work towards as we wish him the best in his retirement.
